Only the donor area ( extraction area) is shaved. Unlike the Fue and Sapphire, the extracted hair follicles are directly implanted . This technique is suitable for small bald areas.
How is the DHI Method performed?
In DHI hair transplantation, each follicular unit is extracted with a micro-motor and transplanted in the desired area using a Choi pen at a 40 – 45 degree angle. The follicular unit extracted from the donor area is placed inside the Choi needle by hair specialists and then given to the surgeon who transplants in the appropriate angle and depth. With the DHI technique, the hair follicles extraction and the transplantation are carried out simultaneously.
Who is candidate for the DHI method?
The DHI method is usually applied to male and female patients who prefer unshaven hair transplantation and those who have small bald areas which need 3.000 up to 3.500 hair follicles in the front line, temples or some empty spots all over the head. The DHI is not recommended for patients who have large bald areas. The ideal technique for these patients is FUE technique.
Difference between DHI Method and ICE FUE
In the DHI method, as in FUE technique, hair follicles are taken with the help of a Micro motor, the difference lies in the number of grafts to be transplanted and the way the follicular units are being transplanted.
While in the FUE method, up to 6.000 follicular units can be transplanted, in DHI method, this number is limited to 3000 hair follicles.The reason is that this procedure requires expertise and, therefore, takes a longer time. While in the FUE method channel opening and hair transplantation processes are performed in 2 different stages, in the DHI method, hair transplantation is performed in 1 stage.

Blood test are made, then the first meeting with the hair transplant expert is held
. A consultation during which the patients’ expectations are discussed, A form is filled out, the patient’s health problems, hair loss history, habits, health issues are all questioned.
The front line is drawn and the recipient areas are determined. Then the donor area is getting shaved and numbed with local anesthesia.
The hair follicles are being extracted from the designated donor area. Hair follicles are removed with 0.7 or 0.8 mm punch tips with the help of a micro-motor. The follicles are removed without damaging the hair tissue, 1 hair root produces an average of 2 to 3 hair follicles. With this method, 55-60 (or more) hair implantation per square centimeter is possible. The hair follicles are collected and kept in a special solution.

Should I stay in hospital after a hair transplantation?
There is no need to stay in hospital after hair transplantation. You will be discharged on the same day.
How long does hair transplantation take?
Considering the method to be used in hair transplantation and the number of hair follicles to be implanted, it takes approximately 6 up to 8 hours.
What is the best time for hair transplantation?
There is no suitable time for a hair transplant, whenever you feel ready you can reach us out. However keep in mind that you won’t be able to swim for one month following the surgery.
When can I get a haircut after hair transplantation operation?
Don’t use a machine, razor or a sharp shaving device or any sharp object for 6 months following the surgery. After the 1st month you can get your hair cut with scissors.
Can I smoke a cigarette or a hookah after hair transplantation?
If you are smoking and using any other tobacco products, we advise you not to smoke/use for 1 week after the operation. This is because smoking reduces the amount of oxygen in the blood. If you are not going to quit smoking, we recommend you to reduce the amount between 2 and 4 cigarettes per day. Otherwise the hair follicles may not hold on tight.
Can I do workout after the hair transplant operation?
You cannot do fitness and heavy sports for 1 month after the operation. We recommend that you do not engage in sports activities exposing to impact, such as football or basketball, for 3 months.
Do you give a guarantee after hair transplantation?
