Difference between Sapphire and ICE FUE method
In the Sapphire method, as in the ICE FUE method, the follicles are extracted, the slits are opened and the transplantation process is carried out. The only difference between Sapphire and ICE FUE is the blade. The Sapphire blade is sharper, and so thin that it can open slits between already present hairs without damaging them. Varying in size from 1.0 to 1.3 and 1.5 mm, the Sapphire ends are narrower, closer and allow more channels to be opened.
Recovery time in Sapphire Method
While the recovery time in FUE hair transplantation method is 10-15 days, that of the Sapphire is 7-10 days. It has been observed that the hairs implanted with the Sapphire method begin to grow after the 3rd month.

Blood test are made, then the first meeting with the hair transplant expert is held
. A consultation during which the patients’ expectations are discussed, A form is filled out, the patient’s health problems, hair loss history, habits, health issues are all questioned.
The front line is drawn and the recipient areas are determined. Then the hair is getting shaved. Then the donor area is being numbed with local anesthesia.
The hair follicles are being extracted from the designated donor area. Hair follicles are removed with 0.7 or 0.8 mm punch tips with the help of a micro-motor. The follicles are removed without damaging the hair tissue, 1 hair root produces an average of 2 to 3 hair follicles. With this method, 55-60 (or more) hair implantation per square centimeter is possible. The hair follicles are collected and kept in a special solution.
This step is very important and can be performed only by the hair transplant expert since the slits should be opened in the appropriate direction, angles and depth to achieve a natural appearance.
The final step consists in a single hair-by-hair implantation performed by specialists. After the transplantation of all the extracted follicles and a final check, the head is bandaged and the patient is discharged.

Should I be hospitalized after hair transplantation?
There is no need to stay in hospital after hair transplantation. You will be discharged on the same day after hair transplantation.
How long does hair transplantation take?
Considering the method to be used in hair transplantation and the number of hair follicles to be implanted, it takes approximately between 6 and 10 hours.
What is the best time for hair transplantation?
There is no suitable time for a hair transplant, whenever you feel ready you can get your appointment. However keep in mind that you won’t be able to swim nor the have sunbath for one month following the surgery.
When can I get a haircut after hair transplantation operation?
Do not cut your hair with a machine, razor or sharp shaving device or any sharp object for 6 months after the operation. After the 1st month you can have your hair cut with scissors.
Can I smoke a cigarette or a hookah after hair transplantation?
If you smoke or if you take other tobacco products, you should cut on for 1 week after the surgery. The oxygen in the blood is being reduced because of the tobacco, the grafts couldn’t live. If you can’t quit smoking, you can at least reduce to 2 – 4 cigarettes per day. Otherwise the hair follicles may be weak.
Can I workout after the hair transplant operation?
You can go back to exercise 4 weeks after your hair transplant. Before 4 weeks following your surgery, although you may feel recovered, trauma can still damage your scalp and affect the hair follicles. We recommend you avoiding heavy sports like football or basketball, for 3 months.
